Being the People of God today – Saturday 17th September

This event, led by the new Bishop of Oxford, aims to help us explore what it means to be God’s people today.   It will address such questions as:-

  • How can we, as church gathered and church dispersed, respond to the world’s hunger for justice, relationship and love?
  • Where do we see God at work?
  • How do we pay attention to it?
  • How can we support one another to respond?

The organisers’ vision is “to gather 200 people from across the Berkshire Archdeaconry who have:

  • a passion for the gospel
  • a longing to see change – in both world and church
  • a commitment to struggle for it

Messy Church : 3rd Sept – St Birinus : Fisher of Kings

Messy Church Sep 16Messy Church is for the whole family, who can come and join in Fun, Faith and Food together !

This month, we look at the life of someone given an unusual job, to be a “Fisher of Kings”.

We’re looking at our Parish’s other Saint – St. Birinus, who was given this unusual job to do back nearly 1,400 years ago ! Who was he? What did he do? How is this relevant today?

Holiday Club Service – Sunday 7th August 10:30am.

Sunday Invite - 16x9Sunday 7th August is the “Seaside Rock” Holiday Club opening service starting at the later than normal time of 10:30am.  Cornwell Community Church will be joining us for this special joint service.

So come down to the beach and join us at St Catherine’s-By-The-Sea.
