Messy Church : New Beginnings – Saturday 7th January

messy-church-jan-17

How are your New Year’s resolutions going ?  Whether you’ve still going strong, struggling already, or never bothered in the first place, we all know that the New Year is a time to think about the year ahead and what changes we might want to make.

The theme for Messy Church this coming Saturday is “New Beginnings”.  The ability to start afresh with God is a central theme of the Christian message.  Come with us as we explore that theme together through our normal mix of Fun, Faith and Food.

We hope you can join us on Saturday 7th at 3:30pm at St Catherine’s.  Bring a friend !

Messy Christmas Eve Family Service – Saturday 24th

messy-church-christmas-16Our Messy Christmas Eve Family Service is on Saturday 24th at 3:30pm.  As well as craft and songs, we’ll be retelling the Christmas Story together.  We’d encourage the young and young at heart to come dressed as a Nativity character.   If you don’t have anything, we can provide something on the day.

Afterwards there’ll be drinks, mince pies and cake.

Christmas is a great time for friends and family, so why not bring everyone from home, and invite a friend !

Messy Christingle : 3rd December

messy-church-dec-16This coming Saturday, we are combining our normal Messy Church with our ever popular Christingle service.

Don’t know what a Christingle is ? Come along to find out !  But a clue is that it helps us think about *who* Christmas is about.  We’ll be making Christingles together as part of our “Fun, Faith and Food”.

As we look towards who is coming, we’ll also be thinking about those less fortunate than ourselves – particularly those helped by the Children’s Society.  We’ll be having a collection in aid of this worthy charity.  If you’ve picked up a collection box from St Catherine’s, don’t forget to bring it along.

We’re not providing a hot meal this time, but we hope you’ll stay with us for drinks, cakes & mince pies.

Please join us this coming Saturday 3rd December at 3:30 pm.
