The Café will be open as usual on Thursday 1st March.
On 19th January, the Rah Rah Theatre will be visiting Friday Friends, at St Catherine’s, to present their pantomime – “CindeRahRahella”. Click here for further details of the production.
All are welcome – please come and join in the fun. The cost is £3.50 to include the usual delicious refreshments.
Friday Friends starts a littler later than normal that week at 2:30pm, but you can still arrive early for lunch in the Café. The Café opens at 10:00am, with the lunch menu starting at 12noon.
There is no Thursday Midday Prayers on Thursday 21st. It will resume on Thursday 28th.
Friday Friends is taking a Christmas Break and not meeting on Friday 22nd & 29th. It will resume on January 5th.

Over the Summer holidays, we are pleased to announce “Crafty Space Extra” in the café area.
They will take place on the following Friday mornings from 10am to 12 midday – ish :-

- August 11th
- August 25th
Table space will be available at the non-café end of the church for those portable craft projects you haven’t quite had to time or space to get around to completing yet!
Refreshments and lunch may be purchased from the café at these times.

CAFÉ MANAGER (Part time)
required for St Catherine’s Café in Wittenham Avenue, Tilehurst RG31 5LN, to build on its successful first year of operation as a neighbourhood community facility.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with experience of working in a café / kitchen. You will :-
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the café, currently open two days a week
* Prepare and cook meals
* Order all food
* Work to agreed budgets
* Oversee and train volunteer helpers including some with learning disabilities.
You should have a Food Safety qualification and some knowledge of relevant legislation is desirable, as is an innovative and flexible approach.
