Join us on Christmas Eve at 7pm under the Old Oak Tree to sing along with our Carols. Wrap up warm – although the current weather forecast says it should be quite mild !
Please join us for our Nine Lessons and Carols service on Sunday evening at 7pm. You are welcome in-person or watch our livestream.
Please join us for our Nativity Service at 10am on Sunday 19th.
It will be a tongue-in-cheek retelling of the Nativity story, through which we hope to find some fresh meaning in a familiar story. Everyone is welcome, young and old alike.
For practical reasons, this service will not be livestreamed. Instead we point our livestream viewers to our evening service of Nine Lessons and Carols at 7pm, which will be livestreamed.
A huge thank you to everyone who brought a shoebox to St Catherine’s for our Shoebox Sunday service.
We took over 40 shoeboxes to the collection depot on Monday morning. Along with the on-line donations, they’ll be sending Good News and Great Joy to less fortunate children around the world.
Please join us at 4pm on Sunday 5th December for our ever popular Christingle Service. As well as making Christingles, we’ll be raising money for the Children’s Society.

Please note our Sunday Morning Service starts at the earlier time of 9:30am for Remembrance Sunday – 14th November.

We are holding a prayer day for Climate Change on Saturday 6th November from 10am to 4pm with a break for lunch (bring your own) between 1 & 2 pm.
The day will be split into five one-hour sessions, led by different individuals, so you can come or go as you like, and changeovers will be on the hour every hour – please come for as long or as short a time as you have available.
The sessions will follow the theme of Genesis, and there will be some information sharing, as well as guidance, worship, time for prayerful reflection, and intercession.
This day takes place half way through the COP26 Climate Change conference, which we have been regularly praying for, for several months.
Please come and participate – God hears our prayers.
Our Annual Memorial Service will take place at 3pm on Sunday 31st October, followed by an afternoon tea.
A time to remember those we have loved and lost.
It will be followed by tea and cakes provided by the Mothers Union. All welcome.
Operation Christmas child is a way of bringing some Christmas cheer to a poor, needy or suffering child.
The idea is to fill a shoebox with small gifts, (please read the leaflet carefully about what is acceptable) and add a donation of £5 or more towards transport costs.
A simple shoebox gift packed with love and fuelled by prayer can have a huge impact!
If you have trouble getting a shoebox, we have a supply of flat pack boxes already decorated for 50pence each.
We are an official collecting point for filled Shoeboxes.
Alternatively, you can ‘pack’ a Shoebox online at: https://shoeboxonline.samaritans-purse.org.uk/
Click here to see the fantastic shoeboxes we collected two years ago.
We are also holding a special service to gather the filled Shoeboxes, when you can hear more about what happens to the filled boxes.
Date – Sunday 21st November
Time – 10.00 am with refreshments after the service.
Place – St Catherine’s Church, Wittenham Avenue, RG31 5LN.
Alternatively you can bring Shoeboxes to St Catherine’s Church or Cornwell 0-5 Play Group anytime before 21st November.
We’re holding our Climate Sunday service on 3rd October.
Please join us to hear our guest preacher Alison Riggs, Environment Action Delivery Co-ordinator for the Diocese of Oxford.
Refreshments will be served in the hall at end of the service.
