Tots Praise restarts Friday 17th September ’21 @ 9:30am

Tots Praise restarts on Friday 17th September.

We’ll continue to meet in Café Siena every Friday, but now starting at 9:30am.

Jumping, singing and dancing, Bible story, a simple craft and a prayer followed by refreshments.  Time for babies and toddlers, parents and carers to enjoy their own dedicated time of worship and special place to be.

Plenty of time to play and chat afterwards.

As before, we’ll only be meeting in term time. Specifically this means we won’t be meeting on

  • 22nd & 29th October (Autumn half term break)
  • 17th, 24th & 31st December (Christmas break)

Helping Afghan refugees

Many of you will have seen Rev Gill’s email about helping Afghan refugees in this area. We are very grateful for the response that many of you have already made.

As various agencies work together, we ask that all your offers of help or donations go through West Berkshire (click below for more details) or chat to Gill first.

Cornwell Toddler Group restarting

Cornwell 0-5s Toddler Group is re-starting on Tuesday September 14th.

We are a friendly toddler group in Tilehurst, run by St Catherine’s Church, meeting at the Cornwell Centre (off Home Croft, Clements Mead, RG31 5WJ). 10am-12noon Term Time Only

  • Tuesdays 10am – 12noon (Families only)
  • Thursdays 10am – 12noon (Childminders only)

Each week we put out a wide & varied selection of toys including ride on scooters, bikes & cars. We have an art and craft table which varies week to week. We also have a singing/story time.

Healthy snacks for children on Tuesday sessions. Tea, Coffee, Biscuits for grown-ups are provided on both days.

BUT at least until half-term we have to limit the numbers to 15 ‘Bubbles’. On Tuesdays that’s a family group (child with parent/grandparent). On Thursdays a childminder with their charges. To avoid turning anyone away at the door we are in the process of setting up a booking system with Eventbrite through the Church page:  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/…/st-catherines-church… .

Whilst the sessions will be marked ‘Free’ to avoid Eventbrite charges, we have held our price at £3 per session (payable ‘on the door’) but are now able to take card payments as well as cash. A further announcement on this page together with an email to everyone on our distribution list will follow next week with more information.

We do look forward to meeting up again!
