Evening Prayer for the nation

Following the Archbishops’ call to prayer after the milestone of 100,000 Covid deaths was passed, we will be holding a simple service of Evening Prayer on Facebook, every day at 6.00 pm from Monday 1st February.

It will be words of preparation, Psalm 61, a sentence of scripture to lead us into prayer.

Our regular Morning Worship will continue at 10am each week day morning.

Coronavirus Statement from our Archbishops

“100,000 isn’t just an abstract figure – each number is a person: someone we loved and someone who loved us.”

Archbishop of Canterbury & Archbishop of York

Our Archbishops have published a letter, commemorating the 100,000 lives lost to the pandemic. The letter includes an invitation to everyone – whether they have faith or not – to join us in pausing and praying each day at 6pm from February 1.

Read the plain text version of the letter at cofe.io/NationPray.
