Advanced Notice !

The next Cat’s Cartoon Club will appear on our Facebook page at 10am on February 6th. We will be thinking about Sleeping Beauty – Disney’s 1956 version..

Long term we hope for Cat’s Cartoon Club to become a monthly physical screening of a film, but for now we are offering it as an online club.

The Bible Course starts soon.

Ever wanted to find out how all these Bible passages you hear slot together to make one big story?

A reminder that next week we start running the Bible course over Zoom. Plenty of folks have signed up, but as we’re running it over Zoom there’s plenty of room ! You can find more info about the Bible Course here -> https://www.biblesociety.org.uk/explore…/the-bible-course/

If you’d like to join us please e-mail get in touch.

Café Siena – Deliveries Suspended

With a heavy heart we have taken the decision to stop our Friday meal delivery service for the time being.

We need to keep our church family safe as possible, as well as local residents. It gave great pleasure to deliver a freshly cooked meal to the older members of the community, and we hope to resume this service in the not too distant future.

Stay safe and well everyone,

On-Line Service only – Sunday 3rd January ’21

In Church Services cancelled

St Catherine's Church

Following advice from the Diocese urging us to be “extremely cautious” regarding any decisions about offering worship within our church buildings, even though it is currently permitted, Gill, together with the church wardens, have taken the decision to suspend our physical services in the church building.

We will worship entirely online for at least the next three Sundays, beginning this weekend, 3rd January. This is not a decision we came to lightly. The main reasons are:

  1. The reportedly more contagious strain;
  2. More cases around us locally. (There are now 454 cases per 100,000 in Reading, with 735 cases reported in the last week. This is a much higher rate than the rest of the country for which the average rate is 296 per 100,000.
  3. The likelihood of even more contagion following New Year’s Eve revelries. Things are certainly going to get better, but in the meantime we need to be wise and limit the spread by staying at home.

Thank you for your understanding.
