SKYLIGHT PROJECT

Thanks to the generosity of many and a diocesan grant, we will be starting the project to replace St Catherine’s damaged skylight and repair the buttresses on Monday July 14th2025. It is expected that the work will be completed by 18th August 2025.
During this time extra vigilance will be required when using the church car park and entering the church building. The work involves the erection of two, possibly three, scaffolding towers. Generally, the car park will be fully operational. However, there will be periods when sections of the car park may need to closed, particularly when the scaffolding is erected and dismantled. The scaffolding will be erected over three days, July 14th-17th , and during this time it is likely that some of the car park will be cordoned off. There will also be large vehicles in use. The bins will be temporarily relocate.
The actual repair work on the building will commence on 21st July.
Please do keep this work in your prayers including the safety of the work, solutions to the inevitable challenges that will arise and suitable weather.
If you have any further queries please do ask.
Many thanks for your patience.
St Catherine’s Building Team
We have two services tomorrow – Sunday 13th.
At our 10am main service, we have the last of our current theme – “Simply Jesus”. It will be a communion service.
At 6:30pm, we also have our monthly “Dwell” service of informal prayer & worship.

Our next ‘St Cat’s Lite’ service, is on Saturday 5th July, where our theme is Peace.
St Cat’s Lite is a fun, informal, all-age service. We start with different craft activities that help us think about the month’s theme. We continue exploring the theme through songs, stories and prayer. We finish with refreshments. While open to anyone of any age, it’s especially popular with children & families.
It usually takes place at St Catherine’s on the first Saturday of the month, starting at 3:30pm. However we’re taking a break in August as we prepare for our Holiday Club!
Everyone is very welcome at this or any of our activities.

We’re delighted to present a night of music from the Reading Spring Gardens Brass Band on Saturday 28th June. starting at 7pm.
Tickets are £12.50, available on the door or in advance (details below).
Light refreshments are served during the interval and are included in the price.
There will also be a raffle.

Our Summer Fair is being held on Saturday 21st June, from 12 noon to 3pm.
Please join us for a variety of games, stalls and refreshments. All we ask for admission is a donation of a coin into our bucket !
