Tots Praise restarts Friday 15th September ’23 @ 9:15am

Tots Praise restarts on Friday 15^th September.

We continue to meet in Café Siena every Friday Term Time, starting at 9:15am.

All parents, grandparents and carers with babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are very welcome to join us for jumping, singing and dancing, a Bible story, some simple craft and a prayer followed by refreshments.

Stay afterwards to enjoy fresh coffee and homemade cake from Café Siena whilst little ones explore our toy corner.

As Summer Holidays come to an end, details on upcoming events :-

𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 : We return inside for Traditional Communion on the 3^rd.
𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 : Will take place on the evening of Sunday 10^th at 6pm.
𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙨 : Restarts Tuesday 12^th
𝙏𝙤𝙩𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚 : Restarts Friday 15^th

Other actives including Wednesday Communion, Tuesday get Together & Friday Friends continue as they did throughout the Summer

Café Siena Manager Appointment

We are delighted to announce Karen Fountaine as our new manager of Café Siena.

Karen will be starting work in late September and is looking forward to meeting all our volunteers and customers in the next few weeks.

We know you will make her very welcome!

Over 60s fitness classes

One of the popular activities which take place in our hall are Alison’s Over 60s fitness classes.

Its runs Thursday afternoons. 1:15 – 2:15 and costs £5.

Vacancy Announcement

On the morning of 30th July we were delighted to hear the announcement that Jackie Fountain will be the new Vicar of St Catherines.

She will be starting near the end of November.

Vacancy : Café Manager

We have a vacancy for a CAFÉ MANAGER (PART TIME) for Café Siena, to continue to grow this successful, friendly community facility.

Are you an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with experience of working in a café/kitchen? You will :-

Manage café day-to-day operations, currently open Thursdays and Fridays (10.00-2.00pm)

Prepare and cook snacks, drinks and meals

Order all food

Work to agreed budgets

Oversee and train volunteer helpers, including some with learning disabilities

A Food Safety qualification and knowledge of relevant legislation required, and a friendly, innovative, and flexible approach! DBS checks will be taken.

14 hours a week at £12.20 per hour, with extra hours by agreement.

Café Siena – closed Thursday 13th July

We regret that Café Siena will be closed on all day on Thursday 13th July.

This is because interviews for the post of Vicar are taking place, with a number of different activities taking place in Church over the day.

We hope you understand that this is an important event for St Catherine’s, and your prayers for the whole process of appointing a new Vicar would be appreachiated.

We are open as usual on Friday 14th July.
