Cornwell Charity Crafts will be at Café Siena on Thurs 30th June & Fri 1st July 10am-2pm, as well as St Catherine’s Summer Fair on Saturday 2nd July Noon-3pm.
They are a group of church members who make handmade gifts to sell for charity.
This year they’re raising money to send Top Notch Trees to Africa.
They’d love it if you popped along to see their goods.
Throughout July and August, we will be holding the Ten O’clock Sunday Service outdoors (weather permitting). This was very popular when we did this last year.
We will be having a summer series of sermons – “Heroes of the Faith”. The first is ‘Sarah’, where we take a look at Abraham’s wife, and consider what we can learn from her story today.
A short, spoken service of communion will follow, and refreshments will be served in the hall.
Being outdoors, you may wish to bring your own comfortable chair or rug as well as appropriate clothing.
Tots Praise continues to meet on Fridays at 9.30am during term time. Why not join us !
All parents, grandparents and carers with babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are very welcome to join us for singing and dancing

Stay afterwards to enjoy fresh coffee and homemade cake from Café Siena whilst little ones explore our toy corner 
Friday Friends meets weekly from 2.00 – 4.00pm every Friday, price £3.50 (carers free), offering a mix of talks, light exercise, singing together, table top games or craft activities in a safe, warm and friendly environment – with tea and cakes.
Why not arrive early and enjoy a meal in Café Siena.

Our 2022 Summer Fair is being held on Saturday 2nd July, from 12 noon to 3pm.
Please join us for a variety of games, stalls and refreshments. All we ask for admission is a donation of a coin into our bucket !
We are holding a Half Night of Prayer at St Catherine’s on Saturday 18th June from 7.00pm until midnight. We hope everyone in the church family will join us so please make this a priority and come if you can!
A half night of prayer is a good opportunity to spend a longer time in intercession and listening to God using a variety of different prayer styles. “And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Matt 7:7.
The theme this time will be ‘Our Tilehurst Community’ and each hour will cover a different area or aspect. No prayer expertise necessary – just come along with an open heart and we will take care of the rest! “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”‘ Romans 12:12
This year, Pentecost falls upon Sunday 5th June, and we’re providing two opportunities to celebrate.
At 10am we will be holding a traditional communion service, where the theme will be Pentecost.
At 7pm there is a special Pentecost Praise service. It will be an informal time to celebrate and simply praise God and rejoice on this special day – the birthday of the church.
Café Siena will be closed next week for both bank holidays Thursday 2nd June & Friday 3rd June as they prepare for our Jubilee Jamboree celebrations.
We’re launching this year’s Thy Kingdom Come initiative with an Ascension Day service at St Catherine’s, 7:30pm on Thursday May 26th.
Please note the service will take place in the Garden Room.
There will also be a Facebook video short reflection at 5:30pm everyday during Thy Kingdom Come, starting on the same Thursday.
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer initiative which takes place between Ascension Day (May 26th) and Pentecost (June 5th)
We are holding a “Songs and Words of Praise” – Café style service next Sunday 29th May 10.00am
Please send us your choice of music – a hymn or a song – or a particular Bible verse which is special to you by Monday 23rd May. If you would be willing to say why you have chosen it, that would be great.
