Joint Harvest Service – Sunday 1st October ’17

Sunday 1st October is a joint Harvest service, starting at 10am at St Catherine’s.

We will be joined by Cornwell Community Church.

Please come early for breakfast (Bacon Rolls) which will be shared with the 8am congregation.

Harvest donations are for CIRDIC (Churches in Reading Drop in Centre).

Café Harvest Lunch – Friday 6th October ’17

The Café will be open for a special Harvest Lunch at 12.30 pm.

For £6.50 there will be :-

  • Cottage pie and vegetables-(Vegetarian alternative available)
  • Apple and Blackberry Crumble with custard or ice cream
  • Tea or coffee.

Please book at the Café.

Friday Friends will follow in the Hall as usual.

Messy Church : After Show Party – Saturday 2nd September

After a break in August for our Showstoppers Holiday Club, Messy Church returns on the first Saturday of each month – so the next is this coming Saturday 2nd September.

Whether or not you came along to any part of our week long holiday club,  everyone is invited to the after show party.

Jesus liked a party, and we’ll be looking at a story he told about a great big party.

We’ll provide the party food, so why not bring the whole family to experience Fun, Faith & Food at St Catherine’s at 3:30pm on Saturday 2nd September.

Oomph : exercise class for older adults – 29th August

Tuesday 29th August sees the 2nd of our “Oomph” exercise class taster sessions.

Each session consists of half an hour of mild physical activity followed by socialising over tea and cake.  The idea is to improve mobility, dexterity, confidence, mood, memory and concentration, especially for those suffering from dementia and depression.

Friday Friends Programme – August / September ’17

After the summer break, Friday Friends resumes on Friday 25th August.

Friday Friends meets weekly from 2.00 – 4.00pm every Friday, price £3.50, offering a mix of light exercise, singing together, tabletop games and craft activities in a safe, warm and friendly environment – with tea and cakes.
