Friday Friends Programme – February & March 2019

Friday Friends meets weekly from 2.00 – 4.00pm every Friday, price £3.50 (carers free), offering a mix of talks, light exercise, singing together, tabletop games or craft activities in a safe, warm and friendly environment – with tea and cakes.

Messy Church – Saturday 2nd February

It’s time for Messy Church this coming Saturday afternoon.  As the shops fill with hearts and valentines, our theme this month is ‘Love God’.

As usual, this is a great chance for the whole family to spend time together with Craft Activities, Stories, Songs and a Hot Meal to finish.

So please join us at St Catherine’s on Saturday 2nd Feb at 3:30pm for Fun, Faith and Food.

Partnership for Missional Church (PMC) documents now available

In the summer of 2018, the Parish started the ‘Partnership for Missional Church’ programme.

Partnership for Missional Church is a three-year journey that sets churches free to join in with God’s mission in their local community.  You can find out more about the programme here.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Service – 6:30pm Sunday 20th Jan

WPCU 2019You are invited to a Service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity at 6.30pm on Sunday 20th January,  organised by Churches Together in West Reading, Tilehurst & Southcote.

We invite those from any Church, whether belonging to any Christian grouping or none.

Pantomime at Friday Friends – 18th January ’19

On 18th January, the Rah Rah Theatre will be visiting Friday Friends, at St Catherine’s, to present their pantomime – “Jack and the Beanstalk”.

All are welcome – please come and join in the fun. The cost is £3.50 to include the usual refreshments.

Friday Friends starts a littler later than normal that week with refreshments at 2:30pm , but you can still arrive early for lunch in the Café.  The Café opens at 10:00am, with the lunch menu starting at 12 noon.

The performance starts at 3:30pm.

Messy Church – Sat 5th January ’19

It’s a new year, and for many an attempt to start something afresh.  At Messy Church this month we look at the story of Zacchaeus – a corrupt state official who started his life afresh after meeting Jesus.

Please join us on Saturday 5th Jan at 3:30pm for our usual mix of craft, activities, stories and songs, all with a hot meal to finish.
