Messy Church : What is Lent? – Saturday 4th March ’17
You’ve hopefully all had your pancakes on Shrove Tuesday – but why ? What’s this ‘Lent’ thing about anyway ?
Please join us at Messy Church this coming Saturday – March 4th – to find out a little more about the church season of Lent through our normal mixture of Fun, Faith and Food.
We’re also pleased to announce that we are able to put on more Messy Churches than shown on our original 2016/17 calendar. Please add Good Friday – April 14th and Half Term Saturday June 3rd to your diaries .
We hope you can join us at St Catherine’s this coming Saturday March 4th at 3:30pm. Life’s more fun with family and friends so bring the whole family and invite a friend.
Friday Friends Programme – February / March ’17
Friday Friends meets weekly from 2.00 – 4.00pm every Friday, price £3.50, offering a mix of light exercise, singing together, tabletop games and craft activities in a safe, warm and friendly environment – with tea and cakes.

Jumble Sale – Saturday 11th February
There is a Jumble Sale in St Catherine’s Hall on Saturday 11th February, opening at 2:00 pm. Entrance 25p. Refreshments and car parking are available.

Café Closure – Thursday 9th February ’17
Due to a funeral, St Catherine’s Café will be closed on Thursday 9th February. It will be open as normal on Friday 10th – 10am to 2pm with Lunch menu from 12noon.
Messy Church : What is Love? – Saturday 4th February
With Valentines day coming, many of us ask “What is Love?” It’s a big question that we spend a lot of our life thinking about. Naturally, the Christian faith has a lot to say about it.
Through our normal mix of Fun, Faith and Food, we’ll explore just a few of the things that the Bible says and in particular how Jesus explained it to his followers through one of his most famous parables.
Please join us at St. Catherine’s on Saturday 4th February at 3:30pm. Bring a Friend.
Tea Dance Dates
The next Tea Dance is Thursday 9th February, with subsequent dates of

- 9th & 23th March
From 2:45pm to 4:45 pm. Price of £4 which includes Dance and some Tuition.

Café opening hours (2017)
Please note our Café opening hours are now 10am to 2pm, Thursday and Friday.
Joint Service at Cornwell – Sunday 29th January
Sunday 29th January is a special joint service with Cornwell Community Church. Accordingly there is no 9:30am service at St Catherines.
We’ll meet in the Cornwell Center (in Home Croft, off Clements Mead) starting at 10:30am.
