Being the People of God today – Saturday 17th September
This event, led by the new Bishop of Oxford, aims to help us explore what it means to be God’s people today. It will address such questions as:-
- How can we, as church gathered and church dispersed, respond to the world’s hunger for justice, relationship and love?
- Where do we see God at work?
- How do we pay attention to it?
- How can we support one another to respond?
The organisers’ vision is “to gather 200 people from across the Berkshire Archdeaconry who have:
- a passion for the gospel
- a longing to see change – in both world and church
- a commitment to struggle for it“
Might you be one of those “200 people”? If so, please see the attached flyer (click on the images above) and go to:

Messy Church : 3rd Sept – St Birinus : Fisher of Kings
Messy Church is for the whole family, who can come and join in Fun, Faith and Food together !
This month, we look at the life of someone given an unusual job, to be a “Fisher of Kings”.
We’re looking at our Parish’s other Saint – St. Birinus, who was given this unusual job to do back nearly 1,400 years ago ! Who was he? What did he do? How is this relevant today?
Come along to St Catherine’s on 3rd September at 3:30pm to find out !
